This update, which will be effective for the 2026-27 school year, brings district policy into compliance with state law while reinforcing expectations that have long guided classroom learning and student behavior. The Appleton Area School District wants students to be able to focus on learning while also helping them learn to use technology responsibly

We are proud to announce that Dr. Thai Xiong has accepted the role of Hmong American Immersion School Impact Director. Xiong was most recently the Director of 7-12 STEM/H&HP in the Appleton Area School District.

The Appleton Area School District (AASD) is proud to announce the establishment of the Hmong American Immersion School (HAIS). This 4K-5th grade charter school will focus on academic excellence utilizing Hmong culture, history, language, and next-generation socially and emotionally intelligent citizens.
